(Teacher's Poem)
My Lord lies in a tomb
He lies alone in a sinner's tomb
No one comes to visit Him
In this cold, lonely tomb where He lies first
And He tells me not to come in
People look up to Jesus on the cross
And though they praise Him in His throne
There is no one to visit Him lying alone in the tomb
Lord, I came, seeking You in tears
I came to lie here next to You so forlorn
Why must You lie here alone like this
I will lie next to You as Your comrade My Lord who died for me
Now I lie here with You, by Your side
I do not desire a seat by Your banqueting table
Or throne of glory
In a tomb where no one comes to visit
I am happy just lying here next to You
If the Lord were to ask me what my wish is
It would be to just lie here next to Him
If He were to ask me again
I would reply the same answer ten times, a hundred times
To lie side by side the Lord
In a lonely tomb where no one comes to visit
