My heavenly Daddy who is always beside me
Is a playful, mischievous Daddy
When dreadful and fearful problems come my way
My Daddy hides from me, pretending to be away somewhere
Not even knowing that, when I cry out of fear,
Playfully He says, "Daddy is right here!"
And gives me a huge smile and a great bear hug
After being assured,
Happily I fall asleep, held in my Daddy's arms
But without my knowing,
He quietly leaves me and hides again
And when I wake to see Him gone, I burst into tears
He then puts His on my shoulders and says,
"Daddy is right here! I did not go anywhere."
And laughs as He sits beside me once more

When I play hide-and-seek with my friends
Sooner or later, I get fed up with the game
But when I play with my Daddy
I am never bored and the more we play, the more fun it is
Now, no matter when Daddy disappears and hides
I am not the slightest afraid
And rather play a trick on Him for a change
This time, I sunk and cry for no reasons
Then Daddy scurries over to me
And is so busy coaxing and soothing me
That He is caught by surprise
